My name is Jo Tavares. I am an oceanographer, an educator, an activist, a mom, and a mermaid 😝.

Working with environmental education and communication has been extremely rewarding and has given me the chance to meet a diversity of interesting people.  I'm often asked great questions about science and education that deserve more complete answers than what I am able to provide on the spot, during Q&A's and brief conversations.
